Forget Today
"Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus." Philippians 3:13-14
I don't know what your day held. Perhaps it was awful and upsetting and sad, or perhaps it was wonderful and perfect in every way. Regardless of how your day went, you and I are called to look forward to what God has for tomorrow, and to not dwell on the past whether it be the last 24 hours or the last 24 days, weeks or months. Seek out the joy in striving for a goal so much bigger and greater than ourselves. I challenge you to choose the grace-filled God who loves you so faithfully that he wipes your slate clean each and every night.
Let go, reach for tomorrow, make new goals, and relentlessly pursue He who is the Ultimate Goal.
