Cause > People?

"Loving your brothers and sisters is more important than loving your cause". This message really hit me this morning in church... It is okay to love your cause (be it political, environmental, etc.) but when that cause gets in the way of your loving a fellow human being, that is when things get ugly. We forget that they are also people, who also love THEIR cause. We forget that behind loving God, the greatest commandment is to love your neighbor. The word neighbor encompasses ALL PEOPLE.
